1956 History Page for the Church of Peace

The Evangelical United Brethren Church of Peace Charter Member Sunday is January 22, 1956 with a membership of 30 persons. February 14, 1956 the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Peace is formally organized. The congregation is meeting in the Sheridan Elementary School. The pianist received $5.00 per Sunday as compensation. The first church picnic was held June 10 at noon at Lake Harriet and the first baptismal service was held this year.
